The Invisible Curse

I don't pledge to outlive eternity,
Shall I thus be the free witness-
Let hatred be your mistress,
And love be the morphine
That'll let mankind relish
An easy death.

Facts are all open-
To make lands for anthills
Mighty mountains got to fall...
Trees are fated to be cremated
In the last engine that will ever run...
Antiques from museums shall invite
Depression to combat the manlessness...
Yes, all these coming very soon!

Till then-
Tear the rebel,
Release his blood...
Burn some chapters,
Let the gasping ash fly...
Sun has abandoned long
Ago to grant you your wish!
When your eyes get tired
Of this enigmatic black,
Pay your homage to
The master of dark,
He might help
You perish!

I pledge to outlive the living Lucifer-
Shall I thus be the holy beholder
Of a fire blazing in its flame!
Let love be the morphine...
Mercy on this mankind
With painless death.

At the Eleventh Hour

If I put a broken glass on your way,
Will you break into seven halves
And deliver my soul?

Why do I not see you passing through,
Is it so damn dark out here...?
Then how come I smell the blood
Lying dead in each dried trace
Of your measured steps?

Give back that setting sun-
Grant me my cherry coastline...
I shall please my grave for one more day
With mauve starfish over the sleeping sand,
While I sketch your canvas with wingless birds
Who'll soar high someday to top the auction list,
But right now you owe me for a wish!

If I put a broken glass on my way,
Will you pause to see me passing through
Splitting into seven halves like never before?

Oh why do I sense an aura of
Departed life and sweet hopes?
How come I feel the transcend to a top
That gave up to an avalanche long long ago!
Are you then bored of your booty?

Closing the door of his study
With a guilt he never felt before,
The boy had played a secret video...
Hardly knowing things would change
First time he puked at perfect human skin-
He found no taste that day in momma's food
Till they fell for each other ever after!

Jammed in an stuck elevator once,
Hiding facets of his throbbing heart
The man had whispered into her ears:
Baby do you really see a life like this?”
The surveillance camera couldn't hold back
Her nails from piercing through his chest
While silent sweats solved their riddle!

Pretending to be in control
He hold her up from the cradle
And smilingly told to his better half:
She's gonna be the best kid in the world”
She had nodded knowing her husband
Who was worried from deep inside-
Whether he'll make a good dad!

Loitering along the porch
His gaze never loosened its grip
From the closed door and a red light;
Neither his friends nor could the lady
Pacify his blocked tremulous mind,
Till the doctor chanted as he came out:
Your mother's bypass is successful!”

He knew that day would come
But never quite prepared himself for...
From distant lounge he saw her take off-
World has shrunken to the size of a tablet
Yet own fingers failed to reach his heart...!
Hugging him like a mother his wife muttered
Darling be my good deputy till she returns!”

Ah the fog of cosy spell is vaporised
From my broken glass that was once a prism,
Leaving a query for me that none shall ponder-
Why do we strive to add zest to our present,
When there's infinite joy in past recall?

If I throw a broken glass onto the horizon,
Shall He mold a rainbow gateway
Before my staircase to heaven?

My Black List is very very Black

Go beyond this green planet, brazen mercury and elysian sun, whatever you had mugged up and still remember of your school geography book. Transcend and think celestial... and soon you'll realize the monopoly of 'BLACK'. Forget this ongoing stage-show you're somehow performing (Oh, it's not me, blame Mr Shakespeare!) and savor the nostalgia of that black environment inside your momma's womb, or, thrill yourself with the anticipation of the blackness you're going to face inside some undertaker's wooden masterpiece someday. Ah well, if all these black thoughts fail to arouse you, let two special azure eyes haloed with 'not so thick' black eyeliner be your bait. Think man, think hard, till you get a hard-on (only intellectual arousal please) conceiving of the enigma of black! My bad, I'm unintentionally sounding like a chauvinistic male pig as I haven't yet addressed my loyal women readers. Well ladies, you may pamper yourself with electrifying fantasy of a jade black petite goatee while gentlemen lose their footholds by the slime of eyeliner.

Sunset Boat Cruise in Goa over River Mandovi

There is so much life, music and carnival in the name ‘Goa’ itself that a tourist’s imagination about Goa can’t come out from the prototype imagery- a Goan man in a funky beach shirt with ruffled hair and silvery stud earrings playing guitar while the sun sets down the horizon. There’s an enchanting hybrid smell of so many uniqueness like old western music, cashew feni (country liquor produced exclusively in Goa), Portuguese lifestyle etc which fills up the air of Goa all throughout the year and successfully pulls tourists from all around the globe! Among many other things to try in Goa, when you’re in north Goa you must experience the blissful evening river cruise over River Mandovi while tapping your feet with the beats of DJ onboard and dance programs by local dancers.

Dad, Happy Doctors’ Day

A solitary sunflower struggles for light,
In wet courtyard weeps the heap of hay;
But dad, I got a hitch way too different-
How to wish you a Happy Doctors’ Day?

The morning passed cheaply in a mizzle
Like good deals slip before you can pay;
But dad, how to send you those messages,
So many wishing you a Happy Doctors’ Day!

Memories are many the day falls short,
Nagging heart still has something to say-
Nonetheless I owe you for all those years
I could whisper him “Dad, Happy Doctors’ Day”.
